Best Paper Awards for Young Researchers

EPIP Best Paper Awards for Young Researchers

EPIP announces that at the EPIP 2017 conference two best paper prizes for young researchers will be awarded.

  • A Young Researcher is defined as a person who was awarded their doctoral degree within 24 months before the conference submission deadline.
  • The prizes may also be awarded to co-authored papers.
  • Awardees will be chosen from among the individuals submitting full papers. Candidates will have to commit to attend the conference and must be the presenter of the paper. In case of co-authored papers, the paper has to state that the Young Researcher submitting the paper contributed most significantly to the paper.
  • Candidates will have to indicate if they want to be considered for one of the prizes jointly with the paper submission.
  • Reviewers will be asked to indicate if a submission they are reviewing should be shortlisted for the award. Approximately a dozen papers should be selected in this manner.
  • A selection committee, with members chosen from within the EPIP Board, will be selected to verify the information regarding the eligibility of candidates, judge the papers, and identify 4 to 6 finalists.
  • The selection committee will then present its conclusions at the EPIP Board meeting before the conference. The Board will then vote on a final decision in favor of two young scholars.
  • Winners will be announced and awarded at the conference dinner.
